    Hugh Selwyn Fry was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, B.A. 1930, M.A. 1934; Chaplain, R.N.V.R., 1943-47; Chaplain, R.N., 1947-63. Chaplain of the cruiser Ceylon which, together with the Auxiliary Aircraft Carrier Unicorn, conveyed the first British troops (1 A&SH and 1 Middx. respectively) to land in Korea, at Pusan on 29 August, 1950. The Reverend Fry injured his leg in Korea. After retiring from the Royal Navy in 1963 he became Vicar of Stanford-in-the-Vale, Faringdon, Berkshire, and died in 1989.
